Sometimes one side of the house isn't enough. That's exactly what happened here - the front of this home already had gutters, but once the rain started falling, the splash-back on the stucco walls made it pretty obvious the rest of the house needed coverage too. Stucco and standing water don't get along, and over time that kind of moisture exposure causes real damage.

So we came out and ran a complete gutter system around the home. Both the front and back got full coverage, with downspouts placed to pull water off the roofline and direct it away from the foundation and exterior walls. The goal is simple - move the water where you want it, not where it wants to go.

The downspout installation was done clean and tight against the stucco, with discharge at the base pointed away from the structure. On the back patio side, rain chains were used as a functional and decorative alternative, which works great for a covered patio setup like this one. It all ties together into a system that actually does its job.

Stucco is especially unforgiving when it comes to water. It absorbs moisture, stains, and can start cracking if the runoff problem isn't handled. A properly installed gutter and downspout system is one of the more straightforward ways to protect that investment and keep the exterior looking clean for years.
