New construction is exciting. But here's the thing a lot of new homeowners don't think about until it's too late - a brand new house with no gutters is already losing the battle against water. Roof runoff lands right at the foundation, eats away at bare soil, and hammers the siding every time it rains. Getting gutters on from day one is one of the smartest moves you can make.
That's exactly what we did for this new build in Paul, Idaho. The house itself is sharp - board and batten siding, a clean craftsman gable up front, good bones all around. Our job was to make sure the water management matched the quality of everything else on the build.
We ran seamless gutters along the roofline and tied in downspouts at the corners to carry water away from the foundation. With the soil still freshly graded around the perimeter, proper downspout placement matters a lot. You don't want runoff cutting channels into bare dirt or pooling up against a concrete foundation that hasn't even had a chance to get landscaped yet. Every drop needs a clear path away from the structure.
Seamless gutters are the right call on a new build like this. No seams means fewer failure points down the road, and the fit is clean against the fascia. They just look better too - especially on a house this nice. Getting it right on the front end means the homeowner isn't dealing with erosion, stained siding, or foundation moisture issues years from now.
This is what we do at Ridgeline Gutters. Whether it's a new build or an older home that needs a full replacement, we come ready to work and we finish it right.
